Got a 274 bhp at the wheels nova running 16psi, LSD yet to be fitted.
Not had a decent match against any other car yet, but getting p***ed off with peoples remarks, 'its not that quick my rs turbo will beat urs'. I may be wrong but alot of people under estimate turbo novas. One lad said his 1.3 sr on twin 40's would beat it....told him the sleep on it.
I know a few guys on here have got turbo novas or have seen em go, even tho i own one i just wanna hear your stories or what car mines comparable against if the conditions were right.
Breeny has run a 13.6 in his which has less power than yours.
Mine was running about the same power as yours when last on the road, i havent really raced much from a standing start, as the local place where people play by me starts from about a 50mph rolling start, ive happily beat an M3 EVO and loads of wrx imprezzas etc.
Mine did 60-100 in about 6 seconds, vs 10.3 for a wrx imprezza
*edit, didnt notice you said at the wheels, thats far more power than mine then, mine was roughly that at the flywheel*
without a doubt, traction would be a major problem in the nova with all that grunt and only 2 driving wheels.
i love the idea of the 2.0t lump in a nova, and would like to experiance it, had a toot in allen meads pocket rocket which was fast enough to make me smile for a while, i'd say it comands much respect.

I raced various 911's & a few other cars a few months back in Chips Nova so i can 100% say you would easly beat a RST - with conventional tuning the most you can really get out of an RST is about 220 - 230 MAX (without going downt he route of new turbos nos ect) + the escort is a heavy car compaired to a nova
Traction is the major factor but ive found that as long as its driven steadily through 1st and 2nd you can normally get away with it, well most of the time.
If anyone else has got a contribution then post it up, more the merrier.
I know the handlings not as good as the scoobys or evos but straight line it mental, do you agree?
Running spax psx kit, uprated front springs and front/rear strut brace. Can i make the handling any better?Do i neet to set the spax up (hard alround at the mo)?what do you recommend guys?
poly bushes, get camber set properly as most people lower the car and leave the camber which will be out!
removing the front roll bar helps traction on tight turns believe it or not!
hi,i think front coilovers are best,to much weight in the front thats the problem with nova corsa let's and also to light at the rear!!!.im running a hard rate up front with coilovers and adj shocks at the back, quite soft to help with grip.but still v firm.poly bushes is esential to get the power down straight cause there is that much torque steer.any one know anything about different top mounts, eccentric, concentric and how these could help??,thanks
Look left for my best qtr mile. Although i went to Donnington 's Midnight-Racing event last sat and did a 12.58 and a 12.88(with a passenger) All at 107 mph Lmao I think the timing gear was out.Although it was slightly downhill.
I raced loads Evo 6's are comparable although I did race a Evo 5 and dicked it he was 4 up though.
Did you se my post about the Brand new Porcshe I raced?
i'm fitting all of them... nova_turbo allready has
