Demon tweeks wanted £90 for their smallest catch tank (delivered). Sod it, I'll make my own. Stainless steel, perfect fit in the bay, less that £2 cost. Impossible?
Instead of going to B&Q for performance parts, this time I went upmarket and got one from IKEA lmao
Price £6 for three of these stainless steel kitchen thingies. I only used the smaller one.
Drilled one hole for the breather pipe and another for the airfilter. Both holes are tight, so no leaks.
I left the amal valve hanging out. What's the point of it being connected, when there's no vacuum any more and it can only get contaminated by oil mist?
The question is: will it function correctly now that it only sees atmospheric pressure? In the stock setup it continously sees vacuum from the turbo's compressor side.
Any ideas welcome
