My 1.3 SR is rapidly, well, quickly, reaching the 130,000 mile mark. It is still strong and pulls well, but I am worried about the age of the head gasket etc....it is a 1985 1.3 SR.
I have recently changed the cambelt, but there is a noise of like a worn race bearing or something at the end of the cam, near where the belt joins?
How much would it cost to get my lump reconditioned? Or at least the top end. Does it entail a huge amount of work, and are there any bits I can do to lower the cost?
An engine swap is an option, but I want to keep it old skool
