Ive been reading previous threads about many people who have experienced revs slow to drop, or are sticking at some point- and many people recommended doing the "breather mod". What is this, and how is it done? How does it improve the problems of sticking revs?
Im no brilliant mechanic so a detailed description would be much appreciated. Also, are there any other mods that can stop these sticking revs?
Originally posted by chip The problem is air filter more than anything, the early XE engines REALLY dont like cone filters.
Sorry to but into your post, but I was looking to get a cone filter, and i've been put off, cos of this juddering/cutting out, as mines a latter XE, will it be ok to put a cone filter on, (with out these mods?)
Have been looking at the breather mod and other mods that people have made to their engines. My question is can these mods be carried out on an 8v engine ie. the C20NE this is the engine I have and It is suffering from the same sort of problems that you guys are mentioning...
any help would be appreciated, cheers guys
ps. I have carried most of the common solutions like cleaning the ICV, changing hoses, new sensors, new filters etc.
