this question is a bit retrospect as i partly know some of the answers and i know some history of other people with this problem, ive PM'd 16vastra, but i thought i would put the question here for more coverage, maybe some more input.
here is the PM, including the question.remember a while back you had the tough gearchange and dragging clutch even though it was adjusted ok??
well ive always had that problem, i.e clutch down at a junction, select a gear fine, then after a few seconds i would feel the clutch bite on its own, and car would try and pull forward, even though i had the peddle full down. recently its getting really stupid where i cant even get a gear sometimes. repeated clutching sorts it.
now, i remember animal saying that the input shaft is IN too far, so i thought that was my problem too.
ive been out and the spline cap bolt thing is right out as far as the circlip, so i cant extract the input shaft any further unless i ditch the clip or the cap bolt. obviously these are safety mechanisms to stop the input shaft dissengaging itself.
what you reckon ?
