Will the pinion on a F16 box come of seperate. or is it part of the shaft.
Also i currently have a f16 with 3.74 fd on it. pinion has 19 teeth and crown wheel 71.
But im looking for a 3.94 . which the pinion will either have 18 teeth or the crown wheel will need to gain 4 teeth to 75.
ive got a staight cut gear kit built into a f16 (quaife) prob is its got a 3.55 fd on it and quaife arent very helpfull about supplying a pinion ect ect. so im stuck at the moment. hence i need these few questions answering.
if u know anyone who could help on this matter or anywhere that could supply the bits im after then that would be great

think its part of the shaft in big block boxes, how many splines are there on the gearbox shaft you want to fit the pinion to? i have a small block gearbox infront of me so can compare and see if the small box stuff will also fit, in which case you can get the pinion from one of those instead
the stock pinions do fit quaiff boxes, i have a stock final drive in mine, but if he has a quaiff straight cut final drive then it wont fit with the crownwheel, but if hes swapping the pinion he'll have to change that too so it may work, so mr ctunnicliffe what have you got??
not as far as i'm aware, the staright cut f/d is a very expensive option so i didnt bother, plus its easier to get hold of the right f/d bits if you fancy a swap tbh, i'm not too sure how staright cut the gears can be considereing where the drive has to be transfered from/ to
