Ok, look at this picture.
It shows an early 2.0 16v crank sticking out through an oil pump from another 2.0 16v engine. The crank diameter is less than the seal diameter. The crank differs from the picture in the Haynes manual.
I took a 2.0 8v apart today and it had the crank as shown in the Haynes manual. On it , the crank shaft was quite thick. It stuck out through the seal and then there was a shoulder where the diameter reduced down smaller. There was a 4mm thick spacer between the crank pulley and the shoulder on the end of the crank.
Obviously the 2.0 16v crank I have is different from this.
Does anyone else have a 2.0 16v crank like the one shown in my picture? I need to work out which bits I'm missing so that I can sort the seal and pulley out.
