well iv waited 4 days ands the fcukin retards have sent me the wrong size, and there miles too small.

as seen as its the only seal on the fuel rail i really cant see how they have managed this!!!

gonna resort to taking an extended lunch break tomorrow from work to visit a engineering place to get the right size. lets just hope my ecu aint screwed now!!

Halfords do mixed bag of O-rings, there might be the right size in there???

Or is that totally useless help??

    Hope it gets sorted.

P.S do you all have out of tank GSi fuel pumps??

yep I take that back - tapers have the injectors on the manifold

8 injector setups are as notoriously difficult to get real extra power from as big valves - it's only on very high spec engines where the extra power starts to show.

Do you still need those part numbers mate? Sorry, I completely forgot about it, again

    Nice one miles.

Na I'm ok now, I jugged something together to get it in.

How much did you pay for the MPi pump?? A s I'm going for one this weekend. How do you dig it out the tank?? Or was it just on the shelf??

It was just on the shelf.

Paid 20 for the first one, but I broke that one (snapped the tail off it) so they let me have the second one for 15

There is a load of plastic casing you need to take off it. Just make sure the body of the cylinder inside is metal. MPI = metal, spi = plastic.

So were you festering around in the fuel tank for a bit trying to get it in??
Is it fairly easy to slot in to the swirl pot in the tank??
Inspection bit off at the top??
Cheers for the gen haven't looked at it yet

It goes in and out through the hole under the rear seat.

I spent a bit of time trying to work out how much it needed shortening by; If you take about 10mm off the outlet tail and use 2 new gaskets (about 3.50 for 2 at vaux) and you might need to use longer bolts, then it fits ok.

nope, managed to trick the dta by editing the txt file on my computer then uploading

but thinking aboiut that its still no good really if its fualty. we shall see

been around 4 engineering places this morning non of which sell fuel proof seals

the tps defo has a feed of 5v, and it outputs from 2.5v to 4v on full deflection, im guessing it shud read either 0v or 1v upto 5v :s
place i got it from say that have a space if i wanna take mine and they will test it, or take my car and thel help etc. so still relying on the seals which jenvy have sent 2nd class AGAIN after i asked for 1st class as they sent the wrong 1s

well, you'reright about the tps, i'd take it off and check its range with a screwdriver or similar in it, should be 0. something to 5 volts, sound like its a duff'n to me, so can you connect to the ecu yet?

engine is now running, however not runing too well....

my throttle pot not giving out correct values is chucking the thing off a mile, timing+fuel is messed up.

its driveable though if i take it easy
