Was checking out the condition of the engine, and performing general servicing getting it ready for the NOs next month.
I was playing around with my throttle cable, thinking there was some slack in it, when I noticed the pedal stop under the accelerator pedal and thought what is its real function?
I took off the SFI box and pressed the pedal flat down, the butterfly only opened to about 70-75degrees (90degrees would be wide open).
So I pulled the plastic accelerator pedal stop thingy away from under the pedal and hey presto, when pressing the pedal fully I get Wide Open Throttle.
Not only is there some very noticable power increase, especially in 3rd and 4th when I floor it, but I can now safely try and blow the engine up with a shot of funny gas !!lmao lmao
How many others are still running with the plastic thingy bit ?
And why did Vauxhall put it there in the first place?
