Hi all, as some of you will remember, a while back i rebuilt my engine and put a piper cam in it along with vernier pulley and a couple of other bits. My friend asked me today about how much my timing had been altered when the cam was set up and i said the only thing changed was the vernier pulley. When i told him this he said, the cam wouldnt be anywhere near its full potential unless i alter the timing via the distributor. What i want to know is, is this the case or will i get just as much from leaving the dizzy where it is and just adjusting the vernier pulley?
P.S. This all came up after my car with a proven 90bhp got beat by a standard car exaclty the same as mine, minus the mods! lmao
