I have just been flashing the codes on my car and when I flash the 4x4 codes it flashes the code 33 (Solonoid valve voltage high-this can also mean the TX box has overheated) I think?
I thought this could be because I have been driving without the 4x4 fuse inserted so I took the wires off the battery last night to reset the memory and erase all stored codes but when I connected the battery&fuse today and checked the codes it still flashed coe 33.
Not being a tight BAS*ARD but is there any way to check the temp sensor without buying a new one because I went to my local VX dealer and they told me they are around £70 including VAT so I would like to definatley that it is damaged
The Solenoid valve opens and close for the hydraulic pressure, its not the tempswitch !
Instead of the original tempswitch you can use a oiltemp gauge with a sensor, they normally measure up to +150'c but that should be anough. The sheap ones are not so good but test it in boiling water then you know how how bad it is.
