I am a man of doing thing is stages so it doesn't look like I'm spending a huge amout of money at the time!!
I'm now thinking ahead of doing more stuff to my engine. The main route I want to follow now is with bigger pocketed pistons and very lairy cams. I already have vernier pully's so at least that's something I don't need to get.
As I have a spare block sitting at home I can use the pistons out of that. I'm 99.9% sure they are of the forged variety.
If I were to get the pistons pocketed more, how much do I need to have taken out? I really do want to get some lairy cams like QED's Q450's, Q440's or even the Q46V's.
Would there be any problems with regards to weakness etc in getting the pistons recut?
Should I get a block bored out and go the bigger piston route?? 88mm or more?!?! That's when it start's getting expensive though eh?
I would also like to go to solid lifters and tougher valve springs etc. Any gen on this?
Just a another quick question, to get the pistons out you can just undo the end cap's and push them out through the top??
I know I shouldn't be thinking about this yet, but I like to think ahead!
