dnt see why it wouldnt work as youve stated the only differences are the egr,afm/map sensor.
The compression ratio of the c16xe is slightly higher than the x16xe so the map on the ecu will be set for an engine with slightly different characteristics, but if anything this should make the x16xe a tad perkier than normal i reckon.
Sorry to hijack thread but im after a c16xe myself - hell of a job getting one!
it wont work, the c16xe has an air flow meter, the x16xe has a map sensor, its a totally different sytem,as well as the x16xe having all the egr gubbins.
the c16xe has slightly bigger ports and hasnt got the egr gas chanels in the head so the mapping will also be wrong.
You might be able to bodge it to work but it wouldnt be at its optimum.
Just blank your egr valve off.
I cant see why it wont work, having problems with my x16xe ecu so that sounds like a good idea to try out.
Are the ECU plugs different shapes?
Ive got a unichip so that should be able to convert my map sensor readings into AFM signals.
