As you've probably read recently my cambelt slipped on Sunday and has bent the valves. When looking at the pistons they are slightly marked on the top now where the valves have hit them. Where the valve cut outs are in the pistons they have been blunted ever so slightly on the edge of this. Is this likely to cause any problems as I don't really want to be putting new pistons and stuff in? The bores are completely undamaged.
Sent head with bent valves off and porous head with so called good valves in to get them swapped over and the company has just rang me today to say the porous heads valves are bent ever so slightly as well and can't be put right. I'm going to get a very big bill I reckon now for new valves as well
Don't think i'm ever going to bother doing another cambelt swap myself lmao Will pay a mechanic this time I reckon.
