I think that the cavaliers with the rear beam have only one rear antiroll bar.
The astra gte and gsi have only two antiroll bars.
From the epc I saw that there is 4 types antiroll bars for the cavalier models (with rear beam). But it doesnt say what thickness is each antiroll bar.
1. for cavaliers with 1.4, 1,6sv engines
2. for cavaliers with 1.6 nz, 1,8, 2.0 8valve engines
3. for cavaliers with c20xe engine (but with rear beam) (cavalier sri 16v/vectra gt 16v)
4. for cavaliers with c25xe v6 engine.
I know that the (2.) type is 17.5mm thickness, because my car was with c16nz.
I know also that (4.) tyoe is 20.5mm thickness. I ordered this antiroll bar before 10 days for a price 120 euro with the v6 bushes.
I want to now what thickness is the (3.) type of the c20xe models.
Because I hearing that the cars with the c20xe engine have thicker front antiroll bar from the v6 models, because are they more sport.
Maybe they have and rear antiroll bar thicker from the v6 models.
But all these only for the cavaliers with the rear beam (CAVALIER SRI 16V/VECTRA A GT 16V).
Anyway I want the thicker real antiroll bar to reduce as I can the understeering of the car when I pushed to the limit in close turns.
I hope that the v6 model have the thicker rear antiroll barr because now I had order it.
Thanks for the reply 0ddball.
But the rear beams of the mk3 cavaliers are a little different in design from the kaddets -e and astras -f.
Also they have only the auxiliary anti-roll bar and not the front and straight roll bar, because with the design of the rear beam of cavalier you can't fit the anti-roll bar like (item1).
This it hapens at least for the facelift models. Maybe the older models have the same rear beam like astras.
The auxiliary bar (item 6) is 17,5mm for the models 1.6-2.0 but with 8v engines. It doesn't matter if the rear beam is with drums or discbrakes.
The V6 with c25xe engine models have a auxiliary bar with 20,5 mm thickness, like this I had ordered. They told me that today the anti-roll bar it come from the Germany.
I asked in Eibach and they don't have anti-roll bar for the cavaliers.
It is an old car you see...
The V6 rear anti-roll bar it cost me with v6 bushes only 120 EURO.
We have the same engine. Is your car dizzy-less?
well with the koni shocks and springs if you went into a corner
it rolls quite quicky then the shocks and springs, like catch but
there is still a quick roll before they catch it the anti roll bar kit
controls this roll a lot better making it more gradual it still rolls
just not as quick, theres less chance of lossing traction
I understand what do you mean. This is good. But
what is hapenning with the front thicker and more stiffer antiroll bar?
They say that if you put a bigger front antiroll bar you have more understeering. And the cavaliers have naturally understeering with the standard front antiroll bar which is thinner than a aftermarket one.
koni suspension kit shocks and springs eibach anti-roll bars
strut brace(front) uprated bushes wheels 14 inch steelies at
