A friend has a Calibra Turbo. He wants to prolong the life of the transfer box as much as possible. He is aware of keeping tyres rotated and making sure fluid is correct spec and level. His question is; Would he benefit from pulling the fuse and running in 2WD mode, say, during the fine months (keeping tyres rotated for even wear) then putting back into 4WD mode during the slippery season? Would he gain anything by doing this? More to the point, would this cause any probs for him?
Any help on this would be great guys. Thanks in advance.
