Well as some of you will know my p3 cally is only holding 0.9bar, today i tried a run with the actuator disconnected(took off the boost hose and blocked it off) to see how the car would react with no ECU controlled boost cuts..
did a run in fourth gear, and at about 3.5k revs slowly increased throttle, it got to about 1.2bar then dropped back to 0.9
so would i be right in thinking that the wastegate can hold the boost ok(hence the 1.2 bar,) but that my turbo cannot produce the boost thru the rev range?? hence it dropping back to 0.9bar??
Either way i cant think of any non-turbo related problems that might cause this, so does anyone have a good turbo(origional or otherwise) they'd sell cheap?? or anyone successfully had a turbo reconditioned anywhere recently?? i hear of so many problems.. do not want to spend over say 3-400 on this.. just cant afford to..
