Does anyone know what sort of figures a C20LET compression test should give?
I'm getting 126 across all 4 cylinders - seems low to me?
The car is loosing a lot of oil (over 1lt in a 180 mile motorway trip)and seems it has a standard KKK16 (done 47,000miles) running phase 3.5 I thought the turbo was on its way out and not piston rings. The engine has only done 25,000 miles from brand new (replaced when idler pulley shattered) so I thought the piston rings would be fine. Could the valve stem seals cause this problem? The head has been ported by V-tuning who have got a good reputation and has only done 8000 miles after a full recondition. This problem is really starting to pi** me off and I've even got a new KKK26 hybrid which should be arriving soon as I thought this was the problem - I'm not so sure now - any comments welcome.
