Ok, so its not C20LET, but my little metro turbo engine goes well enough..
Its a simple system of a T3 turbo blowing directly into a sealed HIF44 carb.. with a rising rate FPR plumbed in which keeps the fuel pressure 3 psi over boost pressure
Currently the little bugger is waiting for a bit of a tune up..
I need to lower the compression ratio, and im thinking of fitting 2 headgaskets.. maybe a sandwich plate, not sure yet
Q1. When i have lower compression and I up the boost - do i need to close the spark plug gap up?
Q2. I'll be fitting an intercooler (it hasnt got one as std) should I need to adjust the boost up more to compensate for the longer run from turbo to carb? will there be loads more lag?
Q3. Timing - does more boost mean i need to retard the timing?
Q4. Is there any way I can work out compression ratio?
Even when im running 'high' boost it will only be about 12psi lol
got it RR'ed at 102bhp /124lbft at 6psi, so im hoping these little mods should make it a proper screamer
