right i had a head with waisted valves and a 270 cam to begin with, but i smashed my pistons an bent 2 valves So i couldn't be bothered to wait ages for some waisted valves from sbd to come in. so i replaced the waisted valves with standard ones on another better condition head with the seats reut along with the valves and rebuilt the bottom end. but i have noticed it doesn't feel as fast as it used to the timing is spot on as well. Can this be down to using standard valves with the 270 cam. Im thinking of buying some waisted valves again. are there reaL Benifits using waisted valves over standard in conjunction with the cam
well thought no one would be bothered to look so i did it twice.
Cut and paste is so easy. So what do u think then are there benifits. u know q.e.d who i've read supply sbd with there valves where do i get the number from

Why not go to Paul Ivey race valves. He makes them for SBD and all the other performance peoiple. Last lot we brought from him for a big valve Nova were only £ 11.00 each Stainless steel wasited the hole nine yards?. He isnt on the net sorry an still looking for his telephone number.
doubt very much you'd be able to tell the difference they'd make - we're talking 1-1.5% power gain - trouble is they're the sort of thing that goes in with a whole load of other mods or work, so it's difficult to quantify.
