In what temperature a c20xe is working better?
At 80C - 87C or to 88C - 95C?
This question concern the performance of the car and the economy.
Also when the fan is working, can it cut some bhp from the car or not?
as long as coolant temp is stable, its more air and oil temp that give you best performance and engine life
i have mine running at 82 deg, but dont run an oil cooler as i need oil temps to be comparable or even a bit more (like to think its below 100 tho)
I have a 82 degrees thermostat, but my radiator is a little smaller from the standard c20xe engine. It is like from c16nz engines but is a little thicker. I don't know from what model is it. When I use the yellow fan switch the temperature is around 80-87 degrees. But the fan is working all the time. It doesn't stop. It stops only when you go with 4th gear and more than 50mph. A few days ago I put a higher fan switch with the same thermostat (82 degrees). Now the temperature is from 88 degrees to 95. But in most of the time is 92+ degrees. And in this case the fan is working a lot but sometimes it stops alone, without I moving the car. But when the temperature is going at 95 degrees I am worrying.. Because in a month we will have more hot here in Greece.
Which fan switch is better for me?
