At fecking last (well kind of I need to trace quite a big oil leak from up the back left of the sump.
Ok I took the car off the road to do some head work and ended up doing.........
Plastic windows
Head work
Head rebuild
Timing belt
New sump
ARP rod bolts
SDB 196 Kit
Brake valve relocation
Catch tank
Manual steering conversion
other odds and ends that I cant rember
Cheers Like I said its a nova sri one iirc, with the bottom connection cut off and plugged and the cap cut out and fitted with an off cut of the ITG filter (this came as packing for the filter when it was sent), its a scrapheap challenge special but with being a GM part I dont think it looks outta place.
Also a big thanks to Alexx for the new sump, I mean where do you get a sump at 9:45 on a friday night?
It will be there on the 29th of June at the next hot hatch day, the only one it may miss will be the one in July unless I take some time off work as I'm ment to be in Tilbury for 6 weeks.

Looks stonkin Kenny! Is it running yet? Is it running well?
Um there quite short 50mm? not sure just whatever SBD send as std as although I specified some of the things I wanted different to the std kit I never asked for a particular lenght. They only just and no more fit tbh I have no idea how people fit the kit to a non abs mk2 without the bias valve relocation kit.
Steve do you find you get a good air flow for the temp sensor when its in there? As I spent alot of time thinking about where to put it, ended up with it throught the filter back plate, keeps the install nice and neat, but was unsure if it was a good place for it.
Also where did you get the braided fuel line? as I want to replace the ones in my engine bay.
The braided fual line looks like Aeroquip stuff. Mucho expensive.
You can get from SBD, or maybe slightly cheaper from Think Automotive.
Careful though. Those hose finishers (blue things Steve has) are about £6 a pop too. you can however just use jubliee clip, but looks a bit poo.
Actually thinking about I've got a load of them (new ones) that you could have cheap if you're interested. There're anodised red (look very good). Made by Earls IIRC. I don't need them as IO cahnged to all JIC connectors (and they are blooooody expensive when you add them all up!!!!).
Steve - What type of clamps you using to support the aeroquip lines?
I'll ask my local garage as they run there own scooby rally car, they may know of a reasonably priced supplier.
Yeah the costs are mounting up I only took it off the road to do some diy headwork (well my dad did the grinding tbh). lmao he's also the one who turned round as soon as we'd ran the engine and said hmm, we could change this and that, etc, Like HELLO! I've only just put it back together. I think I've brought the tuner back out in him as he came out of the garage with a device the other day while I was pricing vac balance gauges, I was like wots that, turns out that its a home made vac gauge that he made so he could balance the twin carb set-ups he used to run
I'll check out hose prices and let you know, if your going to the PV chuck em in your car as chances are I'll take em off your hands.
Weekenny - I've fitted the sensor where SBD said to fit it.. you'll find the original 196 kit loom give it just enough lenght for it to be mounted like this to the bulkhead.. plus it's ment to measure ambient temp.
>Steve - What type of clamps you using to support the aeroquip lines?
They are nylon clamps for thr brake lines from TAS and the fuel lines are held on with a nylon tie clip mount, again from TAS.
It fairly cheap stuff to buy..
