I'm looking into having a set of custom springs made for my soon to be - Corsa GSi C20LET. Any advise? as I don't have a clue about custom springs.
The springs are more than likely to be going onto a Koni adjustables and I would like the springs to give a 45/50mm drop and good handling rather than comfort.
Where can I find these people and, more importantly, what poundage springs would be good on a GSi Corsa with a C20LET engine?
I know the Courtenay spings are 160lb but I know Craig from Corsa Sport is having some 300lb springs on the from of his Corsa 2.0l turbo.
they are based in sheffield, iirc, think they have a website, something unimaginitive like coilspring89.com, as for poundage i would have thought 300lb springs would be a bit ott for the road, but it depends how much you want to use our car, if its jus a track tool, then go for it, i would start with somewhere around 200lbs, but really you need to chat to someone who has tried them on that particular car/engine/damper setup
i reckon 150 at the back will be ok, depends how much stuff you have in the boot, like i said though it would be worth your while phoning a few people who have tried different things, coilspring 89 themselves will be able to advise you, springs are their thing afterall!
