I have a cav 130.
I'm having a spot of bother, and i think the fuel pump is causing the problem.
I have changed s/plugs dizzy cap rotor arm coil, the thing is it always starts no problem when its cold.
If i've run it for a while then stop and leave it for an hour it takes ages for it to fire before it starts.
I've run out of fuel a few times as my sender unit is a bit dodgy, a cav trait i believe, and our lass, as all women do, fail to tell you they aint put no gas in, but that's another story, is the reason for this problem i reckon.
The pump whines like a **** when the engine is turning over to start, could it be the pump or just a blockage in the filter.
Can you take the injecters off and clean em? if so how.
Finally when i take the petrol cap off it does'nt half blow somne air out, is this normal? Could some vents be blocked?
The mixture is spot on, i've tried releasing the tension on the air flow meter but that don't make any difference.
Please help or i will scrap it.
