    XE problems please help!

    was driving my c20 xe along and all of a sudden its died, started spluttering and coughing and wouldnt go over 30-40 mph, was as if it is fireing on 1-2 clynders??? manged to get it home very slowly!
    checked plugs leads etc and all seam to be fine, its missing its tits off as i said any idea what it could be,

    ive checked compression in each clynder with tester and they are all ok so im ruleing out head gasket!

    has anyone else experienced this???

    sounds like its gone in to limp mode, check the fault codes to see whats wrong

    its in a nova so light is not wired up and dontt think diganostics will be able to be used???

    any ideads lads???

    was realy realy lumpy think it was only firing on 2

    Check the usual ignition suspects, then trace the wiring to the crank position sensor, checking for security of the connection and chafing etc. Check it's not burnt under the exhaust.
    Wiring an engine light in would tell u weather it's a management fault or something like dodgy plugs etc.
