undo the 13mm pinch bolt where the linkage comes out (or under probably in your case) the bulkhead.
yeah, is this what you wanna undo?
but where in gearbox stay this bolt???
the box just has a rod which slides into this bit - the 13mm bolt pinches the two together
theres an easier way than that. theres a circlip on the end of the pin that goes through this universal joint. prise of the circlip, extract the pin and then it seperates.
the pin odders is talking about is thro the white block, but the selection turret which is what i imagine you mean
tho on the 8v linkage this doesnt give you a lot of room to get the engine&box out the top - i always just undid the 13mm tho, so cant say it wont work
i dont know a simpler way to describe it than with a picture, which ive already done.
I think there's confusion here, Matheus is talking about removing the gear selector cap and pulling off the sump!
Matheus, you don't need to 'open' the gear box to disconnect it from the gear lever! Look just foreward of the bulkhead, or follow the linkage back until you see the either the 13mm pinch bolt of the little pin with the spring clip.
follow the route of the bar that leaves the bottom of the gear lever towards the gearbox, on the end of the bar is a bolt that clamps the bar to the linkage, undo this and withdraw the bar from the linkage, to take the linkage from the box you have to take out the pin that the linkage pivots on and then the linkage comes off

Maybe a better way to find it would be to get under the car and find the rubber boot covering the bottom of the lever, then follow this towards the engine and undo the first bolt you come to on the linkage.
hum..i don´t know what bar you mean...
underneath your gearlever there is a bar that transfers the movement of the gearlever forwards toward the engine bay
here is pinch bolt. pinch means clamp, or hold together, compress
thank you Odd.. .
not in the engine bay at all, if you are only trying to remove the gear linkage ontop of the gearbox itself then you must remove the pin that goes into the pivot ontop of the gearbox next to the mount, on oddballs picture above it is directly below the starter motor, but toremove the whole thing you may have to remove the attachement to the gaerlever
ok, well the clamp bolt will only be in one of 2 places.
it will be here
or it will be here
humm, thank you Region, i will try find that. Really thanks for help friends.
