Ok weve changed the bottom end on my engine and im satisfied that all is healthy.
However, I dont seem to have quite as much low down grunt as before, it is possible (I think) that we have it one tooth out.
Is there a dead cert way of getting it spot on other than using the timing marks as the cam pulleys (from memory) always seem to be JUST slightly either side of the marks on the rocker cover.
Before we did the engine swap acceleration used to be mental, now it seems somewhat tame and in slow traffic pulling away slowly there is a very slight judder.
Once it rolling it runs fine its just the initial acceleration that seems down.
The plugs are almost new (done about 2 weeks before the swap) and its got Vauxhalls own oil in it and a new filter and running a K&N panel filter.
We have used the same head as before, compression is 12 bar (hot) all the way across the 4 cylinders so compression is good.
Any tips people? Im missing the acceleration here.
