Question Dodgy Lambda & V6 performance.

Just wondering how much of a difference it makes. Have got fault code showing bank 2 lambda is dodgy/knackered. It may well have been like this since the engine has been in the car.
It runs fine, does not appear to have a prob but performance does seem to drop off after a week or so after re-setting ECU. No major diff but noticeable.
From what I understand the ecu will compensate for a dodgy sensor with settings from memory to enable engine to keep running but it is not an ideal situation.

    Paul.

I would have said the performance dropping off is normal.
mine does it. Generally when I drive it at low revs, I think the ECU retards the ignition to stop it pinking.

Seems to go better for longer when I don't drive much below 2000 rpm.

It does seem odd that all 3 of us are experiencing the same thing. I dont drive the Astra all the time so I dont really get used to the performance.
I took the car out for a spin last week and it felt decidedly flat, Russ thought it was just him getting used to it. Its being run on super plus 95% of the time to c if the extra octane helps but it doesnt seem to sustain the performance. There is definately a difference after u reset the ecu though.
I was putting it down to the air filter and exhaust being too small, and the ecu not liking it and backing off the settings.
Wonder what can be done to help the situation?
