The 4 branch manifold for a 16v is too long on a Nova... by about an inch, I think.
I have this one already modified.
If I get an SBD manifold (alot thicker & wider in diameter), how do I shorten it to fit my exhaust? Currently have a Scorpion zorst ...or should I not put it on yet, and get my car on the road and then in a year get custom Powerflow zorst made up??
Use an hacksaw

Then use the old manifold flange welded to the sbd manifold to join with the centre section.
what angle grind my Scorpion exhaust or the nice SBD manifold???!!
SBDs manifolds are made by BTB and BTB do a 2ltr 16V nova manifold. So do Ashley now. So if you're going to get one, get one of those lot to fit the car.
If you are going to modify an old one, you really need to weld it up in place on the car, or else the joint will never seal.
Alternatively, just cut it short and use some flexi exhaust pipe from Demon Tweeks to connect the manifold to the system!
Well, I have kinda already bought it from some1, but haven't picked it up yet ...so dont wanna buy another one.
So without butchering it ...would it be best to put it on when I get Powerflow to make me an exhaust?? that way the manifold can be left alone, and they can make the exhaust made to fit?
What you think? I'll just do with less power for a wee while...
Nope, won't fit properly.
If I remember right it will be heading for the passengers feet. But whack it on and see...
