rite my sparkplugs in my nova 1400 carb model are allways white in appearance
been like this for probably 40,000 miles now
still running on the original 2e3 carb which seems to run fine
i rebuilt the engine 4000 miles ago with new gaskets etc and i did clean up the ports abit with the grinder.
my airbox is modded slightly and i have disconnected the hot/cold air feed (blocked off the vacumn pipe)
when i last checked with the gas analyser my co2 etc were fine pretty much cock on 1.0%
ignition timing is advanced a little bit compared to pointer position probably 10deg instead of book 5 deg but i dont get any pinking under load.
some days the car pulls really well and other days it seems flat(think this is more to do with the vacumn second chaoke than anything else), it allways idles fine, never get trouble like that. it seems to pull better under load ie uphill than on the flat ??
any ideas please
is my main jetting out? do i need different plugs(lower/higher temp rating) or what ??
what do ya reckon
