phase 3.5+ what is lamba cut
my car has been recently running lower fuel pressure i have phase 3.5+ with lamba cut ( i presume all phase 3.5 software has this facility) should the lamba cut have been activated with my fuel problem and if so what should have happened to the cars performance.
yes, the lambda cut is like a rev limeter, it cuts the boost right back to about .2 bar, you need to have a bosch sensor as the eds chip dont like it
so is it possible to have a phase 3.5 software where one will cut the boost back and the other will not, i was told mine was the phase 3.5+ but it did not cut back my boost.
the "+" means lambda protection
are all phase 3.5 kits (+) as i asked for the plus and was told i the kit i had was plus but it did not cut my boost down when i had my fuelling problem.
not all no, the first ones did not have lambda but anythig with the '+' has it regauardless, but you will get boost cut if you start to run lean
The fuelling problem couldnt have been serious enough to bring the lamda voltage below 0.55V which i believe is the threshold.
Take a look at this thread, according to arno there is a way to bypass the lamda watchdog. http://www.c20let-forum.de/viewtopic.php?t=10282
any way of checking if i have the old chip or the new (+) chip as when my fuelling problem was fixed the cars performance was much better probably 80% better
yea, take out the ecu, open the boards and look at what it says on the chipset
