but i think the turbo lump + loom etc should be well over the grand mark, with the box being closer to 500. Its Stricks XE and thats in good nick, so i think he could value it at around 650 as well.

I didnt think the tub engine to be worth that much as I have heard of crash damaged calibras going for 1700 ish and that means 5 stud hubs and all other kind of goodies.

You aren't wrong about complete scrappers going for £1500-2000, but a ready to fit C20LET, with all ancillaries is worth more than £700.
Depends on condition/history etc etc, but you are looking nearer £1k. Saw one go for £1500 recently, private sale too.
f28 is also worth more. Least £500 for a good one (history etc again) specially with a 2wd conversion (these cost £250 from lageR!!)

Fair enough point ready to fit or fitted units are expensive. Looks like there could be plenty of money in the breaking of calibras.

Hmm, sounds like I need to talk to my man and find out how much wonga he is looking at for suppling and fitting then!!
