To cut a short story shorter, I'm selling my Punto Turbo and I'm going to buy a Corsa GSI and stick a C20 LET in it.
Right, my plan was to get a late GSi (N reg'ish) put it on the Courtenay clubman 2.0l suspension kit, uprate the brakes to 2.0l 16v ones and fit front and rear strut braces. Then I'd search for an engine and an F20 gear box, buy all the fitting parts and get it all fitted.
I've been told that the users on here (Migweb) know everything there is to know about the C20LET and fitting it into a Corsa/Nova, thats why I'm here
So I was hoping that some of you could give me as much information as possible on doing such a conversion, things that are essential to know, things to watch out for, common problems etc. etc. Any comments or advice on the brakes and suspension I've mentioned above aswell.
I was originaly going to opt for the V6 brakes but I've been told they cause problems with pedal travel because the Corsa cylinders arne't big enough?
Also, I've seen these "phase" tuning kits for the C20LET (from Wallaceperformance.co.uk and Courtenay). I was thinking of having one of the "lighter" kits to give a decent power increase to around the mid 200's. Would this cause any problems and would the F20 gear box be able to take on the extra power? if not, what can be done to make up for the extra power other than go for an F28?
Oh, and wheres a good place to get a decent C20LET from?
Thanks alot! I look forward to reading your replys
P.S. Sorry if you get asked this sort of thing regularly.
