In my great hunt for the rattle on a LET i've now found 2 bent exhaust valves. Maybe around 0.5-1mm run out at the head face. Would this be enough to stop it seating deep enough in the head for the lifters to take up the cam clearance? I guess the lifters can take a lot more than that?
They replaced the 2 inlets but not the exhausts. I'm so glad I do all the work myself, most garage mechanics are complete monkeys!
