Well a red top with a fetish for cling film is sitting on the floor in my garage with F20 box attached along with just about everything else that was/is still attached to it including the loom, cpu and digidash. Got the radiator but the oil cooler was playing hard to get so got left behind.
Now do I use the alt/starter and pas pump off this engine or use the ones on my present 1.8 16v ecotec? will all my later stuff fit ok?
Looks like the engine is gonna take a lot of cleaning up if its to look anything, the alloy is all grey and white growths are on it, the block is rusted except where the seal seems to have leaked joining the pressure sender to the filter housing.
Half of me says slap it in and enjoy, the other half says at 113k it should be stripped and rebuilt.
Trouble is if I strip it I just know its going to cost me an arm and leg to get it all done 100%.....hmmmm.....
I also met up with PhilAstraSport about 4 miles further on and picked up a nice looking sport rear bumper.
