I just joined up, and I have a question. I drive a Daewoo Cielo (Nexia to the Brits) and I've got the 1.5l 8v (spin off from the C14NZ). I am in the process of upping the power. I have a turbocharger (and assorted accessories) to bolt on, but I am now considering a C20XE. My car is an automatic and I'd like to keep it that way. I have a few questions:
1) Will the (metal) cambelt tensioner from my 1.5 replace the plastic tensioner on the C20? I have heard horror stories about those plastic tensioners shattering
2) Did anybody who swapped their C14 for a C20 have any problems with engine mounts?
3) Does anybody think I will have any problems bolting my auto to the flywheel of the C20? My tranny is the GM TH-125C as used in pretty much every small/midsize GM front-drive car with less than 200lb-ft of torque.
4) If there are any other things I should be aware of, I'd be glad to hear it.
