Another update and query about that bloody sensor....
Cars up and running, seems OK, just needs setting up on the rolling road (ECU, jets etc)
After first running it I noticed the plastic cover on the crank senor wire had melted slightly, I put this down to being too near the exhaust manifold so moved it and put some silicon vacuum hose round it, to keep the heat off.
I've rechecked it and now most of the plastic has melted off - as if the sheild wire is heating up.
Still seems to be running OK but I worried that it might start melting the inner wires together, which won't be very good news.

The CAS sits under the front engine mount, which is under the exhasut manifold. Your thinking of the KS. But if the CAS is fitted on the 20XE/LET block, then it should be near the exhasut manifold, mine started to rub on the fan belt becasue of the routing.
