It's on a LET. Noisy as hell lifters when running, take the filler cap off and there is hardly any oil up there.
Oil pressure light goes out as normal, plenty of oil in it. Sadly I don't have a guage to check propper pressure as the light is only 4psi.
Garage the previous owner took it too said oil pump. He bought one, but they couldn't get the bolt off. I've done that now in the process of changing the pump. Just wondering if there is anything else to check?
Isn't there a pressure valve by the dizzy? Oil galleries to the head are a bit too big to be blocked, no?
BTW, can the pump be changed with the sump in place? Removing the sump bolts into the pump of course. Or is that sure way to make it leak more?
