Do you have a cat 1 alarm?
These usually disconnect the fuel pump (depends on the alarm fitter how they do this ie before or after the relay).
It's probably worth looking over the wiring for the alarm before trying to find an ECU. Ceck for broken wires, partly disconnected connectors and bad earths.
Just my 2p worth.
Thanks for the idea, however fixed it this morning (been out the rest of the day so couldn't post).
Turned out to be the crank sensor! Got another one from the scrappers today but i will get a new one next week, thanks everyone for you ideas.
hey laf just rebuilt mine today new valve seals kent cam took crank sensor off to clean wire chewed that is the prob with mine aswell
Ah, hence the reason why yours wouldn't start intermitently (sp), the wire must have been breaking every so often. Originally posted by benhelen hey laf just rebuilt mine today new valve seals kent cam took crank sensor off to clean wire chewed that is the prob with mine aswell
Mine was totally dead so i wilk be getting a new one this week and keeping the scrap yard one for a spare, seemed to be a common fault as their was only one left in the scrap yard!
