I was just thinking about some stuff about gearboxes being chucked on my 20XE, and thought, ah easy job, just stick an adaptor plate in between the gearbox and the tranny. Easy enough to get laser cut myself if ones not available for a box I want....
...but what happens to the clutch mech?? and the clutch drive shaft?
I mean, for a start they weren't meant to be stuck together, so there may be some issues, but how do you get the clutch to engage/disengage properly when the gearbox is spaced so far away???
Anyone know what they do on the Type 9 box conversions?
