I am writing from Cape Town, South Africa and am in need of advice and some parts. The Getrag F28 box used in our 2WD 4 door hatch Astra (we call Kadett) apparently has 2 types of diffs. The std, semi-LSD Gemini unit and the fully adjustable Torsen LSD. Please see Gemini on the left and Torsen on the right of pic.

Could you guys please inform me as to wot the difference is between the 2. Also, I need a crownwheel for the F28. Do you know where I can find parts and for how much? Please advise as these spares are very hard to come by.
PS: We have just finished building a C20LET mill into a pre-76 Opel Manta (the baby Stingray as we call it). We have used a 15liter 12 core Intercooler, a Rekord 220i (old Omega 2.2liter to you) Getrag 5 speed box. We skim about 1mm off the piston top. We use a KKK Turbo with a K26 compressor wheel and 268 high lift cams. The boost is set to 0.9 bar with a water/methanol spray injector fitted between the turbo and the injector.
The car is close up to 400BHP at the wheels now here at the coast and we've busted up 2 boxes (lucky for us, the rear wheel drive Getrag boxes are more readily available) and have chowed 1 Borg Warner diff so far. The car weighs a meesily 647kg. We hven't made it to the track yet without some drivetrain failure. Always breaking sideshafts, diffs, boxes, clutches, etc.
With +_ 370Hp (at present) and 647kg do shove around....do the math....
Will keep you guys posted and have pics soon.
PS: It's a classic shape, looking for ideas on paint schemes.
