I take it you have already loked at, what was the condition of them? I willrepalce mine before fiting the rebuilt C20LET P3.5 back in (Calibra/F28), 2 of them were £30 each while one of them was £12 (autovaux).
> What the f.ck! So I should just look at them??????????
Thats a good start, what do they look like, you haven't mentioned that. If they look like they are falling apart or have slits or cuts in them....then replace them. Simple as that, there is no science to engine mounts. You can't really tell until you take them off and look at there condition all round. They are easy to replace, it just finding the tool to do the job and the access to the bolts.
I should have said tools, all I mean by that is that you have a long breaker bar (with 1/2" bit) and the correct sockets (17 or 19mm if I remeber correclty), extension bars and wracket etc. These make life a lot easier. Nothing special, can get all these from halfords. The engine mount bolts are touch, I got mine undon and out without the engine or geab in the car, so it was a lot easier. But with all that in, yu'll have to suppoet the engine and gearbox while you remove and refit new ones. so it will be more akward.
