right, just a few quick questions, im seriously considering either buying a cav turbo with accident damage or summat or just a C20LET lump at the end of the month or end of may and fitting it my self, but i dont want to outlay loads of money and end up with a duff, or end up spanking loads more money on it.
The main reason im looking to buy a already installed engine, then butchering it, is so i can see exactly how it is installed in the cav/calibra, but just a few questions
1) could i also convert the air con ? (yea , i know it saps bhp, but ill have enough to spare a few)
2) what does an intercooler do, does a turbo have on of theses instead of a radiator or as well as a radiator, and if as well as where does it connect ?
3)I want to use my F20 box, will it be strong enough to take the extra torque ? and if so what about my driveshafts will they be strong enough ?
4) are cav/calibra turbo driveshafts the same size length ?
5) whats the main bit of wiring im gone have to do, is it just the round connector, by the battery or is there more ?
6)what sort of things should i be looking at when i buy, to make sure i dont buy a shite engine ?
and any other things you think i should note or think about
