Just on my way to Southend tonight and the car develops a misfire. It's not present at idle (although cranks over longer than usual before starting), but is very bad when accelerating even moderately hard.
There's no arching that I can see, and all plugs were tight, and leads firmly attached. I'll check out the dissy cap tomorrow.
I'm guessing one of the plugs is knackered?
Incidentally I changed the fuel filter only yesterday, it's definitely on the right way, but could this have anything to do with the problem? Flow direction is "pump --> damper/regulator --> filter" is it not?
