The fault light on my Cav GSi comes on every now and then. It normally comes on if i'm going up a slight hill and the engine labours slightly then stays on for 5-10 mins. When I check the codes it is always code 13, O2 sensor.
I have changed the sensor but no change. Could this be related to the fact that I only get about 300 miles from a tank of petrol which seems a little on the low side to me.
Its a 1990 H plate with lamda sensor but no cat fitted, what CO% should it have when Idle?
I wish I had any choice in getting the Cav.
I only sold the Astra to get my Impreza, then I had to sell that when redundancy hit, then got given a free Cav Gsi so not tooo bad really, But the Astra was a lovely car.
Does anyone know how the lamda should be wired, ie what coloured wires to what coloured wires?
Steve, check the wires in the connection block in the loom. A guy couple of doors up had the same trouble with his Cav and changed the sensor, it turned out to be one of the wires in the connecting plug had come loose.
