anything acn be made to fit with a hacksaw and the right piping, the outlet side should be ok as its in the same position as the standard ic but the inlet of the ic sits quit high up so you might have trouble getting the correct pipes to fit without fouling the rad, etc.
could it be mounted upside down?
yep why not.
funny you say that as i did think that after i posted, but i cant see why not
yep why not.
U cld also just sell it to the cossie boys for an absolute fortune (as soon as u say rs500 they will bite yer hand off)
and spend the money on a wallace p intercooler
Ive got a know someone who has one that i might be able to get it off cheap
I was thinking of getting one to fit the Astra coupe. It can be done but would probs mean removing the air-con system . I like my creature comforts . So i'll be installing a universal forge front mount intercooler hehe. I think to get the RS500 intercooler to fit the cally you would have to cut some of the metal behind the bumper.

anyone know for sure?
I think Cavlad bought an RS500 or Saphy Cossie intercooler. He went to an RSOC meet and bought one for like £20.
I think Pete has a normal Saph one. And they are about a third of the size.
Why not just get a cossie? Much better car in my opinion.
Cant afford a nice one and cant afford the insuranceWhy not just get a cossie? Much better car in my opinion.
RS500 i/c sizes are roughly 400mm(H) x 730mm(W) x 6mm(D)
It might be a bit tight!!
Surely thats 60mm depth .
Sorry; yes, it is 60mm deep
