my mate took one of his heads of his 2.5 v6 cav the other day to do the head gasket
and he found shidt loads of pitting on the edges of the 2 outer
cylinders on the head, confined to about 90degrees and like some ones had a go with a chissile
the local garage told him it was normal and to get the head skimmed while he was getting
the valve seated correctly that he had replaced.
