ok, fitted phase three on sat night, best seven hundred i ever spent, we have done two know, i was getting to grips with the power and may i just say, anyone one going to do this needs to have a sound runing engine and really good brakes, mine is a 94 cally turbo on standard brakes and braking heavilly from around a hundred to stop at traffic lights on to a round about two hours after fitting the kit may make them glow and smoke,
just A L O T !!!"!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but i have had the car a year and its had a new temp sender, lambda, waterpump, pads and ht leads and around three dizzy caps.
When we where going around town i wasn`t caning it to much espiecally after the nerves giggle wore off and realised i could off killed myself and the other three people with me.
i was drivin under a tunnel to listen to the dump valve intercooler and exhaust note, when turnining right and going up a hill there was a sudden jerk and a crunching noise like something had striped teeth off a cog or something trying to turn but being held back, we got it to a car park and switched it off and then looked in the engine bay then under neith and there was a lot of fluid draining from something over the exhaust so i started it up and it continued top make the noise and drove it forward and even when there was no load on the clutch it made this noise and the power steering whent like the wheels where square, reminisent of a merc 208 panel van, so taken fuse 19 out and drove it home, the noise continued but then stoped, i guess that was when all the fluid drained out.
any one like to hazerd a guess or do i need a new trany, any help locating one would be greatful or a car to strip for engine, g box and tranny, would also be considerd.
sounds like the seal has gone in your transfer box. The standard box is no good for running this sort of power. Cav16 sell sports boxes which are rated up to 300BHP. It has an uprated viscous coupling inside it.
