my mechanic explaimed to me today that if my car goes wrong it will go on to limp mode to get me home
how does it know where i live????
The c20let is very clever
Well if you still have the original head unit, it will triangulate the position of your house from the TA signals from your local radio stations.
It keeps a record of all the times you turn your radio down just before parking (As everywhere else you will turn your radio up just before parking).
This method is quite accurate but usually will only get you to within ten metres of your house at which point the engine will die leaving you to push/pull your car into the drive or parking space.
With the later models that have had a navigation system installed, they use GPS which is more accurate, however you will still have to push it the last two metres.
really............. thats well cleaver.............. might be an idea to put my origional stereo back in then yeah???
Or get one of the high end Alpine Navigation systems fitted by an authorised dealer that can fit the LHI (Limp Home Interface). £17.95 for the kit as I remember.
