My wife's Astra has been difficult to start on a few occasions now (from cold). We have noticed that it tends to happen when the fuel is down to 1/4 of a tank.
We can get the car started eventually by running the starter in bursts of a few seconds (as you do when priming the system). Sometimes it will die after starting - definitely fuel starvation, then start okay.
I don't know anything about these engines or diesels for that matter.
Can anyone help?
